In Ohio, Caron Products has released an Algae Chamber as part of its Plant Growth Chamber series. The Chamber provides precise lighting and temperature-controlled conditions suited for algae growth applications. Because of its characteristics, algae are a top contender as a potential renewable energy alternative to fossil fuel. The chamber is designed to use high efficiency fluorescent lamps to mimic day/night conditions. Available in 25 and 33 ft3, the chamber produces 300 µmoles/m2/sec of light standard and is commonly used to grow and study algae in flasks.
