In the UK, Motor Transport reports Certas Energy has created a fleet balancing calculator for HVO, allowing companies to calculate when and how much HVO to blend in order to help reduce GHG emissions while balancing the higher costs that HVO can have compared to fossil diesel. With the sector accounting for a large amount of diesel consumption and GHG emissions, the company says that if all operators included even just a bit of HVO in their fleets, it could make a big difference.
