October 25, 2022 |

In Chile, ADprensa reported that Chile’s Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Juan Carlos Muñoz, presented a public-private round table for the development of SAF in the country, with the aim of contributing to the decarbonization of the airline industry.

The round table, which has the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), will meet for a semester to analyze the production chain and the use of these fuels.

“Flight Clean is the first government program focused on aviation sustainability and environmental issues. From Clean Flight we have taken on the challenge of advancing SAF and in this instance we are convening actors from the entire SAF production chain, both in the public and private sectors, including air operators, airline and energy associations, importers, potential fuel producers and distributors, airports and concession companies,” Muñoz said.
