#7 Luxembourg company launches compostable Nespresso coffee pods

In Luxembourg, a company has launched a fully home compostable coffee pod compatible with the popular Nespresso machines.

Dubbed Capsul’in Pro, the Zero Impact coffee capsule is made from biobased materials and has an oxygen barrier sufficient to maintain your cup of joe’s flavor and eye-opening aroma.

The pods break down in a home compost bin or can be collected in municipal organic waste streams. “Today, thanks to Capsul’in Pro’s IML Zero Impact capsule, consumers can have a more sustainable, home compostable coffee capsule with an excellent result in cup. Consumers now have more coffee capsule choices for a more sustainable everyday life. We are committed to shifting a significant share of the coffee capsule market to our Zero Impact capsules,” CEO Laurent Lombart said at a recent industry event.

Capsul’in Pro took 5 years to develop.
