In India, SolarQuarter reported that the Chilean Production Promotion Corporation (Corfo) has unveiled two initiatives aimed at accelerating the development of the green hydrogen industry in the country. The report stated that the first initiative is the launch of a Call for Proposals (RFP) to encourage the manufacturing and/or assembly of electrolyzers and their components within Chile. The report noted that this move marks the second phase of an ongoing effort that began last year with the conclusion of the Request for Information (RFI) process. The RFI sought to identify companies interested in producing or assembling electrolyzers. Nine proposals for electrolyzer factories were received during this initial phase. The second initiative involves the upcoming launch, in June, of a tender to establish the Technological Center for Innovation in Green Hydrogen of Magallanes. This center will aim to provide scientific and technological support and develop human capabilities for the green hydrogen sector, the report added.
