June 3, 2024 |

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports USDA data shows April corn use for ethanol production fell 12% to 416.92 million bushels in April from the month prior due to seasonal maintenance closures. Despite the temporary closures and lower ethanol and DDGS production as a result, corn usage for ethanol remains on track for the year. Seasonal maintenance and lower margins also saw soybean use for biodiesel fall in April compared to March although the actual figure was slightly higher than expected at 178 million bushels.
