#6 Eyewear giant EyeBuyDirect introduces line of biobased frames

In Los Angeles, online prescription eyewear company EyeBuyDirect has launched a new collection of frames that sport eco-friendly materials, including bioplastic, wood, and recycled acetate.

“We want to create eyewear that not only looks good, but also benefits the environment,” says Jim Merk, Brand Director for EyeBuyDirect, in a press statement. “We know consumers are more purposeful in what they buy.”

Dubbed Nature Harmony, the new line is being promoted by Instagram influencer Natalie Mariduena.

Mariduena’s involvement includes giveaways of a $1,000 gift card and a pair of eyewear to five of her followers. Winners will be announced 31 March.

Shoppers can also customize their Nature Harmony frames by adding blue light blocking protection and tinted lenses to meet their eye health and style needs.
