In Brazil, Datagro says that ethanol demand will increase across the country following Petrobras recent fuel price increase as well as a jump in exports to California, helping to support both ethanol and sugar prices. UNICA says the sugarcane crush has been 58.4% ethanol so far this season, compared to 46% ethanol last year, but even the higher volume of ethanol isn’t currently weighing on prices. Datagro expects ethanol exports to reach 1.8 billion liters this season.
