The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, gained 1.23 percent to 49.46 as ethanol equities recovered. For the day, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) soared 12.22 percent to $3.49, while Gevo (GEVO) rebounded 12.27 percebt to $0.48. Among other equities, Metabolix (MBLX) dumped 12.03 percent to $0.86. Overall, advances led declines by a 4 to 1 ratio for the day.
