The Digest Bioeconomy Index, an index of publicly traded advanced bioeconomy stocks, jumped 1.65 percent to close at 59.69 as advanced bio headed north. For the day, Aemetis (AMTX) rebounded 10.06 percent to $3.50, while Solazyme (SZYM) soared 15.47 percent to $3.06 on news of its BASF deal. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 6.10 percent to $7.98. Overall, advances led declines by a 18 to 7 ratio for the day.
