For the day, Cosan (CZZ) surged 7.49 percent to $3.59, while BioAmber (BIOA) rocked up 11.39 percent to $8.12 in a scale-up success rally. Among other equities, Solazyme (SZYM) jumped 5.41 percent to $3.12. Overall, advances led declines 3 to 1 for the day.
