Ecocarburantes Españoles implements corn oil extraction technology

In Spain, the Murcia Plaza newspaper reports the Vertex Bioenergy group plant (Ecocarburantes Españoles), located in the Escombreras Valley of Cartagena, has put into operation a  new facility that allows the extraction and sale of corn oil following an investment of five million euros. 

The annual production capacity of the plant is 4,000 tons with availability to have 400 tons stored in tanks. For the design of this project, Vertex Bioenergy has trusted the engineering company Katzen and for its execution in Indes Techincs & Solutions.

Vertex Bionergy is a European benchmark in the production of biofuels and a leader in the production of bioethanol in Spain. In addition, it produces DDGS (animal feed protein concentrate), corn oil, electricity and biogenic CO2.
