Egypt, EU to cooperate in green hydrogen opportunities

In Egypt, Egypt Today reported that Egypt is reviewing possible cooperation opportunities with the European Union in the field of green hydrogen. First Assistant to the Prime Minister, Randa El Menshawy explained that the Egyptian government has made great strides in the field of green hydrogen, whether in terms of creating the appropriate environment for investments or entering into partnerships with major international companies working in this field, many of which are European companies. During a meeting with EU officials, she also highlighted the role of the national council for green hydrogen that was created to follow up on the implementation of the national green hydrogen strategy, which was approved in November 2023. In addition to that, the House of Representatives approved the draft law submitted by the government regarding incentives for green hydrogen production projects and its derivatives, according to media.
