In Egypt, the Egypt Independent newspaper reports state-owned Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company has teamed with the state-owned Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemical Company (ANRPC Petroleum) and an unnamed private company to develop a $380 million sustainable aviation fuel production facility. The 120,000 metric ton per year facility could see contruction begin in 2026. It is expected to be sited on land owned by ANRPC Petroleum with $280 million coming from international lending. Feedstock was not mentioned in the article.
