In South Dakota, the Grand Forks Herald newspaper reports Epitome Energy has chosen the city to site its new $400 million soybean crushing plant that will crush 42 million bushels of soybeans annually. The facility was meant to be sited in Crookston, Minnesota but the air permitting process went on for 16 months and the company gave up, deciding to look for another site.
