The slight stock build of 175,000 barrels was despite exporting an average of 104,000 barrels a day. Crush margins for most Midwest ethanol plants likely remain below the profit line, even if they have improved slightly, according to analysis from Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Development.
