Ethanol production rises to highest levels since March

June 6, 2024 |

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production rose last week to the highest level seen since March at 1.072 million barrels per day as maintenance season ended and facilities came back online. Despite increased production and lower exports week-on-week, stocks fell to a six-month low of 23.052 million barrels. As a result, crush margins likely are showing a profit for most plants. Summer driving season has kicked off, which should increase demand for the next few months.
