Ethanol production slows slightly as margins pinch

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production dipped slightly last week to 1.095 million barrels per day as margins tighten slightly, pushing stocks higher by more than half a million barrels compared to the week prior to 23.723 million barrels. Demand by blenders for ethanol was up 4% on the week while demand for gasoline was up 8%, yet exports fell to their lowest in a year at 57,000 barrels a day.
