In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports that Energy Information Administration data shows maintenance season is keeping ethanol production well below 1 million barrels per day, in turn tightening stock levels.
Last week, production averaged 963,000 barrels a day, rising slightly by 16,000 barrels per day compared to the week prior. Although production rose slightly, stocks fell to a 14-week low at 23.965 million barrels, down 377,000 from the week prior. Despite the low levels for this year, last week’s figures were still 4.229 million barrels higher than last year.
