EU Parliament committee approves 7% cap on first generation biofuels

In Belgium, the European Parliament’s environmental committee has approved the text on biofuels reform negotiated between itself, the European Council and the European Commission. The legislation that seeks to cap first generation biofuel use at 7% will be voted upon during the next plenary session of the Parliament on April 29 in Strasbourg, France.
