In the Netherlands, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen/Vlissingen-Oost region can count on 58.5 million euros in European support to absorb the economic and social consequences of the transition from fossil to green industry. ‘CO2 reuse in a cyclic carbonate’ is the first project in this region to receive a subsidy from the new Just Transition Fund (JTF) that started at the beginning of this year. The project also receives financing from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. With the subsidy of €1,803,439, the Gouda company Alta Innovation Support will set up a pilot at Valuepark Terneuzen to convert CO 2 and gases from the chemical industry in the region into a liquid that can be used in batteries.
