In Belgium, triologue negotiations between the European Council, European Parliament and European Commission have agreed on a legal text that would set a cap for first-generation ethanol at 7%. The text does not include a target for advanced biofuels, however. The Parliament’s ENVI committee will have to approve it on April 14 and the Parliament’s plenary will also have to approve it.
