Two companies strike paydirt with sugar reduction technology. Two weeks back, MycoTech’s sugar reducing technology attracted a $35M series B round led by Bunge Ventures. The company produces mushroom based bitterness reducers, sugar-reducing tech, even protein — all from the same underlying platform. The company grows mycelium in proprietary organic media. Then, the culture is spray dried to a powder. Then, they Produces ClearTaste to be used as an organic flavor modifier.
Meanwhile, there’s more. Douxmatok lands $8.1m in Series A.
