#8 Bloom, Energy Power partnership will use biogas in fuel-cells to bring sustainable energy infrastructure to India

In California, Bloom Energy and Energy Power have announced a joint effort to deploy a solution for clean, reliable power to local Indian Businesses in the Shirala District. This will act as an early case study in the use of biogas to power rapidly growing nations such as India. “We are happy to bring Bloom Energy’s technology into our clean energy ecosystem at a time when India’s industrial sectors continue to grow,” said Shyam Vasantrao Raut, Chairman and Managing Director of EnergyPower. “After demonstration, we plan to deploy the solution in the majority of the states in India.” The system will help reduce carbon emissions by at least 65%  when compared to Indian national grid standards.
