Fonds de solidarité FTQ acquires three Quebec bioenergy companies

In Canada, in the wake of the deployment of its Vision 2026, the Fonds de solidarité FTQ continues to increase its commitment to energy transition and announces the launch of Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie, a new limited partnership whose mandate is to accelerate the growth of the bioenergy sector in Quebec, focusing first on biomethanation and renewable natural gas (RNG) production projects on a human scale. A first tranche of strategic investments of C$100 million is planned, both for the development and operation of projects and the management of assets in the field of bioenergy. 

the Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie announces the acquisition of three Quebec companies that are leaders in the bioenergy sector: Solucycle, the Montérégie Biomass Treatment Center (CTBM) and Qarbonex. The Fonds de solidarité FTQ Bioénergie thus acquires cutting-edge expertise and recognized know-how in the fields of biomethanation, the recovery of organic matter and the production of RNG.
