#10 Renewable textile makers join Dutch sustainable fashion incubators

In the Netherlands, ten companies have joined Fashion for Good’s Plug and Play Accelerator, a 12-week sustainable textile incubator program that offers business development opportunities.

Several of the companies have biobased technologies. Farfarm encourages farmers in Brazil to produce natural fibers such as cotton, jute, ramie, and plants that produce natural dyes. IndiDye has developed plant-based dyes that bind to cellulosic fibers more efficiently in reaction to soundwaves. PondTextile has developed a plant starch-based resin that can replace oil-based polyester fibers.

Other entrants include FastFeetGrinded, which collects and recycles used shoes into new ones and several companies with blockchain technologies that make supply chains more efficient.
