In France, RFI reported that French President Emmanuel Macro said that France will invest several hundred million euros in the coming years to develop low-emission aircraft, engines and sustainable aviation fuels.
The report also noted that public and private funds would also be allocated to developing small electric or hydrogen-powered aircraft and renewable fuels, including the construction of a SAF production plant in Lacq.
Macron also said that some $329 million will be invested on aircraft and motor research.
