The officials are expected to address the issue in a joint statement to be adopted at an upcoming meeting in Japan.
An outline of the statement says the envisioned sustainable aviation fuel would have to meet strict standards, according to the report.
The report also stated that G7 ministers intend to work toward decarbonization in aviation by sharing the target for reducing CO2.
