In Georgia, Agenda reported that the German Government will allocate $1.41 million through the German Development Bank to support the introduction of green hydrogen technology in Georgia.
The Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation and the Bank signed the agreement as part of the intergovernmental negotiations on development between the two countries.
“We are not only studying the possibility of introducing [this] technological innovation in the country and being introduced to successful examples, but also starting a pilot project. I would like to express my gratitude to the German Government, which is helping us develop use of green hydrogen”, Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Romeo Mikautadze, said.
The Ministry of Economy said preparatory work would determine technical and economic feasibility, design, environmental impact and related legislation for the implementation of the technology.
