Germany and France pressure the EC to take measures against Chinese UCO biodiesel imports

In Belgium, Pro Farmer reports that both Germany and France on calling on the European Commission to stop imports of used cooking oil-based biodiesel from China due to the potential that they could be fraudulent. The biodiesel industry had called on the EC previously to investigate the allegations due to significantly increased volumes of imports over the past couple of years, which led to the Commission opening an investigation. The results of the investigation isn’t going quickly enough for some member states, leading to the push by Germany and France.
