Global Biofuels Alliance membership expanded to 24 member countries and 12 international organizations

In India, Bio Energy Times reported that India’s Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi, highlighted that the Global Biofuels Alliance (GBA) has its current membership to 24 member countries and 12 international organizations since its inception.

GBA was inaugurated by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside leaders from the US, Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Singapore, Bangladesh, Mauritius, and UAE on September 9, 2023, during the G20 Summit in New Delhi, India.

GBA serves as a multi-stakeholder alliance encompassing governments, international organizations, and industries, uniting major consumers and producers of biofuels. Its objectives include facilitating capacity-building, providing technical support for national programs, sharing policy insights, advancing technology, and implementing internationally recognized standards and codes through broad stakeholder participation.
