#5 Igloo’s ‘Recool’ 100% biodegradable cooler wins award

In Colorado, Gear Junkie awarded Igloo’s latest product, “Recool” as its 2019 “Best in Show” for its innovative and environmentally friendly design. “Recool” is comprised of 100% biodegradable materials and is made in the USA from molded pulp.

Igloo’s VP of Marketing, Brad Blankinship said, “The Igloo team and I are extremely proud of the positive feedback we’ve received at the Outdoor Retailer show and are looking forward to making a positive impact for our environment.”

The product was created to provide consumers an economical and environmentally conscious alternative to single-use Styrofoam coolers. Igloo will launch its “Recool” cooler exclusively at REI stores in April 2019 and nation-wide soon after. “Recool” has a suggested retail price of $9.99.
