Here is the “think different” slide, it could have been written by Steve Jobs. All them other dudes are starting from glucose or fructose, and we see the Seven Sisters named therein. Glucose and fructose is described as “food” which is unfortunate, and a reminder that “food vs fuel” is a flag which players inside the bioeconomy are happy to wave so long as it suits them. It’s not just outsiders who have no idea of the damage they are doing. Worth noting, that “inedible biomass” can be fed to an anaerobic digester to produce methane which is converted by companies like Calysta to perfectly good animal feed. But we’ll let the inedible/edible comparison slide for now, as the company’s glories are revealed later and more significantly in yield and CAPEX.
