In The Netherlands, Offshore Energy reported that South Korean shipping company HMM and Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG), the exclusive operator of all the public terminals in China’s Port of Shanghai, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on clean marine fuel supply, specifically focused on bunkering methanol and LNG at Shanghai port.
The MoU also covers supporting carbon reduction goals, promoting global shipping new energy cooperation, and helping energy transformation and sustainable development in the shipping industry.
As part of this deal, the shipping company aims to develop sustainable eco supply chain networks at Shanghai port and other key ports such as Singapore and Busan.
