In Indonesia, Reuters reports the new incoming president wants to implement a B50 mandate by early next year in an effort to save the country $20 billion annually in fuel imports. The country already announced last week that it would implement B40 in early 2025 while it has begun B50 trials. The national palm oil producers association, Gaski, contradicted the announcement, however, saying the country was not ready to move to B50, which was echoed by the national biofuel association Aprobi who said trials were still needed on the fuel.
