In India, the transportation minister has proposed to supply a million liters of biodiesel per day for use in power gensets to help reduce pollution while it has called on Chinese investors especially to team with local companies to produce electric vehicles. His ministry is teaming with the agriculture ministry to develop a policy that will support the production of CNG from hundreds of thousands of tons of fruit and vegetable waste to power 1,000 biogas buses.
