In India, the fight over ethanol prices continues as oil companies seek to pay the same for ethanol no matter the state it’s produced in while producers in Maharashtra are trying to get more to compensate for the difference in distribution costs. About a third of the domestic ethanol to be purchased by oil companies is expected to come from Maharashtra.
