Indian fertilizer coop invests $132M in three grain-based ethanol plants

In India, the Press Trust of India newspaper reports Krishak Bharati Cooperative plans to invest $132 million in three grain-based ethanol plants in Gujarat, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, producing 250,000 liters daily from corn and broken rice. Excel Engineers and Consultants have been hired to undertake the engineering and delivery of the three turn-key facilities. The plants will be owned by a special projects vehicle 100% owned by the fertilizer cooperative called KRIBHCO Green Energy.
