Indonesia requests WTO dispute consultations against EU’s biodiesel antidumping duties

August 15, 2023 |

In Switzerland, Indonesia on Tuesday requested WTO dispute consultations with the European Union regarding the EU’s imposition of countervailing duties on imports of biodiesel from Indonesia. Indonesia claims that the EU countervailing duty measures and the underlying investigation that led to the imposition of the measures are inconsistent with a number of provisions of the WTO’s Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994. Malaysia has also been subject to the EU’s countervailing duties on imports of biodiesel.
