In Indonesia, Antara reported that Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is eyeing profit of $742 million from the sales and exports of sustainable aviation fuel. According to the minister, this figure was obtained by calculating the economic value of the production capacity of Pertamina’s biofuel refineries. In addition, the development of the SAF industry will be an entry point for further investment in biofuel refineries from the private sector and state-owned companies, Pandjaitan stated. “From various data and studies, I can conclude that SAF is the most effective solution for realizing an environmentally friendly aviation future in Indonesia,” he added.
