Iowa Utilities Board OKs Navigator CO2 Ventures request to pause permitting process

In Iowa, the Des Moines Register reports the Iowa Utilities Board has given Navigator CO2 Ventures permission to pause its permitting processes while the company waited a verdict from the Illinois Commerce Commission. Navigator refiled in Illinois after it had withdrawn its application in January, and is now waiting to see if its request to include more sequestration locations is approved. Following South Dakota’s rejection of the company’s permit application and the landowner feedback, the company is reassessing its Iowa route.
