In Iowa, on the occasion of President Trump’s visit to the state, the Iowa renewable fuels association, biodiesel board, soybean association and corn association have jointly written him a letter asking him to make good on his promises to uphold the Renewable Fuel Standard. The letter calls out the Trump Administration’s abuse of the RFS hardship waivers for small refiners via its Environmental Protection Agency and makes it clear the associations’ members are concerned they can’t trust the president’s word when it comes to biofuels.
