In the UK, SAF Investor reported that Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) announced its marketing arm Q8Aviation has successfully completed first blending process of sustainable aviation fuel at a biorefinery in Le Havre, in France. According to the report, the SAF will be delivered to the international Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris’ Orly Airport. KPI CEO Shafi Al-Ajmi said the blending process was carried out in line with the voluntary sustainability criteria of the EU ISCC standards with full accreditation by the European Commission. The executive also said that SAF production at Le Havre will help boost marketing of SAF and supplying the green to aircraft at French airports.
