LATAM Airlines to receive its 18th Airbus A320neo using SAF

In Chile, Aviacionline.com reported that LATAM Airlines will receive another Airbus A320neo during July. According to the report, the the delivery of this aircraft will mark a milestone, since it will be the first time that a LATAM aircraft will complete its delivery flight from the factory using SAF produced by TotalEnergies.

LATAM Airlines has set out to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. To reach this goal, the airline plans to incorporate 5% of SAF in its operations by 2030, which is equivalent to 300 million liters of fuel, according to the report.

As part of its sustainability strategy, LATAM Airlines plans to invest $100 million over the next decade to address the challenges of climate change and the circular economy, the report added.
