In Canada, Lignol announced its financial results for the three and nine months ended January 31, 2012. Highlights include a CAD$2.2 million grant from Sustainable Development Technology Canada and an expanding portfolio that now includes 86 patent applications. Lignol is presently one of only a handful of companies with an operational, integrated pilot-scale biorefinery capable of producing High Performance Lignin as well as a clean, reactive cellulose for both cellulosic ethanol and a range of high value cellulose applications such as dissolving pulp.
