In Spain, Nedgia, the Naturgy Group gas distributor, and Hercesa | hi! Real Estate, a leading developer nationwide and present in eight different countries, have signed a partnership to facilitate the use of renewable gases, especially biomethane, in the real estate group’s new developments in Spain.
The agreement is a giant step forward in bringing biomethane to the end consumer and a milestone in the energy transition by efficiently speeding up the decarbonisation of households.
The first developments that will include the connection equipped for the use of renewable gas will be located in Barañain (Navarre): two developments with a total of 175 homes for which construction was scheduled to begin in January 2024. The agreement between the companies also includes the possibility of bringing renewable gas to homes in Berrocales, Madrid, and to the almost 1,000 homes handed over each year by Hercesa | hi! Real Estate.
