In Spain, Neol Biosolutions (Neol) a 50:50 joint venture between the Neuron Bio Group and Repsol has been granted the patent in USA for its technology MicroBiOil 1®. This technology makes possible to obtain oils from crude glycerine via a biotechnological process for industrial use. These oils can be used to convert them in advanced biofuels as well as raw material within the oleo chemical industry.
