Neste’s Q1 revenues reach $5.86 billion

May 3, 2023 |

In Finland, Neste reported total revenues of $5.86 billion in the first quarter of 2023, slightly down compared to the same period the previous year. The company attributed this slight decline in revenues to lower market and sales prices. “Our sales volume for renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel of 660,000 tons was clearly lower than in the corresponding period last year, impacted by the fire in the Rotterdam refinery in late 2022. During the first quarter our renewables production facilities operated at an average 93% utilization rate and the share of waste and residue inputs was 96%,” the company’s CEO Matti Lehmus, said. During the first quarter, approximately 65% of Neste’s renewable diesel and SAF volumes were sold into the European Market, with 35% sold into North American Markets, compared to 68% and 32%, respectively, during the first quarter of last year. Neste also said its renewable diesel production facilities had an average utilization rate of 93% during the first quarter, down from 104% during the same quarter of 2022.
