July 15, 2024 |

In Australia, Renew Economy reports that the planned $338M biofuel plant under development in Gladstone by Oceania Biofuels has suddenly come to a screeching halt. Last Friday, the project was pulled from the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation and the project’s website has been pulled offline, while the company’s CEO now claims to be CEO of a waste and recycling business in the Northern Territory. The facility that was meant to come online next year was supposed to produce 350 million liters per year of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel from waste fats and oils.
