In Pakistan, the News International newspaper reports the prime minister has established a committee led by the minister of petroleum with the minister of finance, minister of state for finance and secretary of the Petroleum Division as its members to explore ethanol blending in gasoline. The committee will explore international best practice as well as analyze previous attempts to blend ethanol domestically failed in order to create a road map that will lead to implementation.
